mutumutu is an online life insurance that rewards a healthy lifestyle. It started in 2018 as an in-house venture of the startup studio Creative Dock in partnership with Komerční pojišťovna and later moved under the Komerční banka group. I worked on its backend from September 2021 to March 2022.
About the project
- The insurance is taken out entirely online, with short terms written in plain language.
- Non-smokers who go for preventive checkups and exercise regularly pay less.
- The app verifies activity through Apple Health and Google Fit.
What I worked on
- Web app API – building new features in Node.js.
- Mobile data processing – reviewing and approving Python code that processed activity data from the mobile app.
- Investor exports – reports and overviews from the app’s data.
- Expansion to France – working with the French team on preparing the launch in France.
As the project was being prepared for the handover to Komerční banka, I moved to the HGS project within Creative Dock.
